Shaider Tagalog Version Full Epi

The replayed ABS-CBN dub version contains exactly the same storyline as the original 1977 Japanese version, but with Gwapings’ being Aquarian and Pete Carr and Timmy’s being an evil robot instead of being a devil in the original dub. With the show being aired on GMA Network in 2005 until July 2017, it was broadcast as the main anime title. During this time, the dub’s voice acting was replaced by Filipino voice actors.

On TV5, it was dubbed by Sentai’s Eiji Kusugawa with the first premiere of the series in 2005. Afterwards, Peter Gantas was replaced by his son Joseph Gantas. The story and dialogue were cleaned up in the dub. Certain lines were lengthened, while others were slightly shortened. Eiji Kusugawa was credited as “Voice Director”, and Joseph Gantas as the “Animation Director”. In this version, most of the original Japanese line-up were replaced with Filipino actors: Daniel Fernando (The Masked Rider Haggis) voice/portrayed Douglas, Antonio Sanchez (Super-Duper Man) voice/portrayed Jack, and Virgilio “Beardy” Patiño (Mighty Battles) voice/portrayed Bert. In the end, the members of the Legendary Star Swordsman team returned to their original actors in the dub version. This was all because of TV5’s first anime license, where they ran into trouble approaching Sentai to obtain the license to show the series somewhere else. Sentai eventually let them know that it can only air the series in the broadcast of Sentai’s video releases.

You can watch this version by accessing the GMA Network’s website for Home Viewers (for effect for this article, the GMA website was working). This version of the series with proper sound effects is presented in line-shape whereas the ABS-CBN version was in the usual rectangle shape.
