According to previous case reports, median PFS of IMiDs was reported to be 2–4 months[@B1]-[@B4]. Although our study is retrospective, IMiDs therapy was applied to patients with MM with poor prognosis. To date, IMiDs treatment has been reported as an effective and convenient salvage therapy, in patients who failed to multiple regimens[@B6]-[@B8]. Considering the poor performance status of patients and poor prognosis of MM, the median PFS of IMiDs therapy was 4 months in our study. Therefore, IMiDs therapy should be the option for patients who failed to multiple regimens and also have poor performance status.

IMiDs therapy is known to be associated with adverse events such as myelosuppression and infections. According to previous reports, most hematologic adverse events were mild to moderate and reversible. In our study, IMiDs therapy was well tolerated and only leukocytopenia was more common than in previous reports[@B6]. However, infectious complications such as pneumonia and sepsis were reported in one case[@B9]. Although thrombocytopenia was the most common non-hematologic side effect, it was transient and did not lead to discontinuation of treatment. In our study, only thrombocytopenia was associated with the duration of IMiDs therapy. The mechanism of IMiDs therapy-associated thrombocytopenia remains unclear.
