Battles are real-time turn-based, and are begun using the timing of the game clock.
• No Timers
Timers do not appear during battles, and you can sit back and enjoy the battle or continue your own actions as you like.

While we’re in the midst of a small press showcase for Tarnished Soul, we thought we’d show some of the crazy things we have going on behind the scenes that we’re just trying to share with our fans. For example, we have this little sneak peek video of the game’s new combat system! And hopefully that will help feed our in-game radar that’s mostly on the side of pushing the game to be a heck of a lot of fun with a simple but effective combat system.
We’ve also got this little video of the game running on the PS4 as I speak. A little bit low-res! But still cool to look at. As I said, we’re not actually showing the real game yet, but it’s nice to see that it’s actually working on the PS4!
Anyway, hopefully you’ll enjoy this little bit of show and tell, and maybe help us dig a bit deeper into some of the things we want to do with Tarnished Soul. The first proper gameplay footage should be done within a couple of weeks, if not less. We can’t wait to show you all what we have in store for you with the Tarnished Soul! Stay tuned.
